1. Battery charging:
- Initial charge: When you receive your electric bike, it is crucial to fully charge the battery before your first ride.
- Long-term storage: If you plan not to use your e-bike for an extended period, such as during a vacation, be sure to fully charge the battery before storing it. Also, turn off the battery switch to prevent it from discharging due to inactivity. Please note that a battery that is completely discharged due to prolonged neglect will not be covered under warranty, as this is considered user negligence.
2. Regular maintenance:
- Routine inspections: Regularly check your electric bike for loose screws, tire wear, and make sure the brakes are working properly.
- Regular charging: Even when not in use, make sure to fully charge the battery and then check it monthly to keep it active. This practice helps prolong battery life.
- Charging conditions: Always charge the battery in an environment with a temperature range between 0°C and 40°C (32°F to 104°F). Avoid charging in extreme heat, direct sunlight, or near fire sources. Keep in mind that batteries are flammable, so it is essential to charge them properly to avoid potential fire hazards.
3. Safe driving practices:
- Helmet use: Always wear a helmet and other protective equipment while riding your electric bicycle.
- Traffic rules: Comply with local traffic laws and regulations to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
- Awareness: Stay alert and attentive to your surroundings, especially in crowded or unfamiliar areas.
- Insurance: It is advisable to take out accident insurance to ensure you are covered in case of any accident. Having insurance is essential because it provides financial protection and peace of mind, with the assurance that the insurance company will handle claims in the event of an accident.
